Pretty easy St George just approach it as you would most other plants and you'll do fine they are pretty tough.

A lady on the weekend asked me to cut some back it's a patchwork garden with mondo grass among the pavers. I was like yeah I can do that, but have no idea either, was thinking I'd treat it like a teeny weeny hedge and square it off to the edges and trim the top???

Andy just use a nice sharp pair of shears or scissors if you want therapy. Make certain that they are sharp and adjusted properly otherwise it will just put jagged edges on the grass and it will look like s##t. Most Mondo grass does not need pruning.
