I use BBQ Tongs for that cr@p Fred but it still stinks... :wave-hi:

I tried the tongs which were good but slow & tended to leave some finer stuff behind.
I am very aware of sharp edges, at least this gutter had the brackets on the outside:).

after doing this for a looong time, I've found it quickest to do it by hand.
did one a few years that had a callistemon viminalis growing over it, the gutter was full of hundreds of seedlings - I started a clump for a bonsai setting but lost them last summer through my slack watering

Looks just like we get here in the Dandenongs, especially when sycamore maple leaves (& seeds) get involved.
Have found a long plastic scoop (think I found it in Bunnings) to be very effective and aided by a small hand (bannister) broom.
Hand broom has useful feature in that handle is stepped up a bit which allows knuckles to be kept a bit clear of that roofing edge zone.
Agreed it's a pita when internal gutter clips are used.

Remove the bulk of it by hand.
Then follow-up with mini paint roller.
Problem solvered.

Fred with the mini paint roller it will get in underneath the gutter brackets,remove all debris+ clean down gutter surface.
All with leaving your hands in one-piece.
