Had a customer text me to use hedge scissors to avoid the hedge drying out!i told him I don't use scissors but this is the first request I've had for this.is it worth doing hedges with scissors or is it to time consuming ?

Had an old guy in Toowoomba do the same thing. He had about 20 Balled Hedges ranging in size from 30cm to 1mt+ that he only wanted done with his 2" Hedge Scissors.

My offsider done most of them, then ditched the job. It took about an hour per ball with the old guy looking on and picking on every little piece out of place that was missed.

He also made the offsider put a sheet around the bottoms of the hedge to catch every little clipping.

Scissors like these ones but with a 2" blade

I use hedge shears on strappy plants like lomandra and flax as I find it easier. The hedgy tears them anyway.
