I use me Husky M/Tool with high frequency with the extended hedger and pole saw.

But this improvement is for the extended hedger use and we can at time stretch to gain height or when trimming the top edge trim. Not talking about benefits using the pole saw as no one uses a pole saw over reaching.

Chuck out the thin metal base plate that breaks anyway where the two rear screws attached it.
Order the plastic handled base plate for $34 with is the part from the totally dedicated poles saw machine which uses the same motor and motor casings.
It's now a far better to use and safer unit to work with, well that's what I reckon.

Chuck this out.

New base with handle.

That looks great, will have to get 3, one for each motor unit.

When you mentioned the other ones break, I must have been lucky as never broken one yet, maybe today's the day.

The two thin rear metal lugs break due to the unit attaching to motor casing at different places. So the metal plate absorbs the small varied amount of vibration between the mounts. Having gone through 3 metal base plates I've been using it without a base for 7 months up until now.
Footnote; the unit has really no vibration to the handler in use.
But the plastic seems heaps sturdier and within area of the mentioned two mounts, so all good so far.

Went to my local dealer today and asked about the handle, said he had one out the back, gave it to me for ZERO $

Yay. ,,,, ... It pays to be loyal !

How good is that, I find too the centre 6mm bolt can work loose. So I add some kiwi grip glue in just to help it. Locktite kinda doesn't help as it too hard to clean out the threaded hole due to 2s stroke engine waste.

Thanks for the bolt tip, will do that too.

Seems like we are the only husky fans on here?

Have you seen the new 5 series 2 strokes, suppose to have more power according to sales guy
