hi was at a job today and left my little pump srayer at home so i used 1 at the place i was doing ..a little 5 ltr 1 it was.. :mad: :mad: about half way through it and when to show my young bloke to mow around the rabbit hutch.. and we here this big bang i thouth the mower shate it self but no .was not the mower.
I LOOK AROUND AND SEE THE FIVE LTR PUMP SRAYER HAD BLOWN UP
We ran for the house and watered the lawn and ever thing else i seen there but only time will tell now if it went any were else.
so fingers crossed


have any of you people out there had this happen to you

Haven't had that happen but can just see it!! It was probably left in the sun for a while sometime and gone brittle? I always carry a bottle of seasol to treat any accidents, and lots of water as you did. Id like to hear a follow up in a few weeks to see the results. cheers,

We had a sprayer of a similar size that broke (not the same brand, and not to the point of exploding, but slow-leaking through a fissure/ crack that had devloped on the bottom) and I guessed it could've been a combo of the brittleness of the plastic and the build of of pressure now and then that caused it. We tossed it once we realised the fissure was there, just in case it blew, when primed.
Those contents are a pretty dangerous concoction...

Thanks for comeing back on that Hairy! (guess uve got a beard happening?) seem you were lucky most of the mix ended up on a path? not to bad i would say.

yep was very lucky.
as the bottle was 2 mts away from the damage .
so there would have been heaps more damage
