Looks like borers or something has eaten this wattle tree and has lots of dead branches.about half the tree is still alive and green so it might come back??its about 7yrs old so maybe it will kick the bucket soon anyway..any ideas on how to save it?8208

7 years for a wattle is pretty good. I wouldn't invest money into this tree other than for removal. They are short lived and most likely won't survive much longer.

Wattle are borer magnets when they are on the die. The one in the photo looks like a Black wattle, which are lucky to reach 15 years tops.
Rip it out and replace it with a calistemon or similar "non weed" shrub.
