Back end product sales and services are a good way of increasing business profit.

The old lady who loves to garden but can't mow her lawn has to get her fertilizer, seeds, plants etc from somewhere. Might as well be you.

You may have other products or services you can offer your customers depending on the niche you focus on.

Our niche is the Organic consumer so we focus on products and services based around that. Narelle is the main promotor of the Organic Skin & Body Care and I focus on The Lawn mowing and gardening & sales of Organic seeds, plants and garden products.

It all falls under "Lifestyle Home Services".

Suffice to say, increasing profit and sales does not necessarily have to mean getting more customers. Just provide your current customers with additional products and services.

If your in the planning stages of your business and want to include additional services, this might be a consideration when choosing your business name. I think even Mr Penman wishes he chose a name that reflected the benefits he provided rather than telling his customers his name was Jim and he mowed lawns.
