Fuel Additives such as opti etc are effectivly what the petrol distillers leave out ,due to the cost saving mentallity that austomotive fuel is purchased by the tankfull. immediatly used then refilled .Some contractors that use small engines tend to buy to much fuel than needed and store it longer.this is where fuel additives are required to combat longer storage or poor fuel problems.Fuel additives promote quick starting.Reduce gum and varnish build up . Keep carby and fuel clean .improve engine performance.Stabilise petrol for up to 18 months .You add the additive when you purchase the new fuel this is a preventive action rather than a cure.
