I have little clover (without the bindi) growing through my lawn and customers lawns. I don't know the exact name but also it has a red color as well as green. The weed spray i use does not seem to kill it off. A customer said to me use 50% water 50% vinegar but i don't think it works

Hi Owen,

... The small clover is probably creeping oxalis which changes to a redish colour under certain conditions. It is difficult to erradicate. Try bindie or kleenlawn. It depends on what sort of lawn the weed is in. DON'T spray anything with dicamba in it on buffalo - you will have to apply a couple of sprays to control it, usually about 2 weeks apart.

A new chemical called spearhead is apparently very good but is only available in 10 litre packs at about $350.00. Too expensive for me!

Mark great to have access to your knowledge and experience via indlawnmowers and now this forum.

The DPI here in Queensland recommends Mecoprop (MCPP) as a control for creeping oxalis. It is available in combination with MCPA and dicamba usually, which unfortunately makes it unsuitable for buffalo. Searles 'Lawn Perfect' is one such product. Have used it with good results, but required repeat applications.
