G'day all.

I'd like to know what you pro's do when a lawn is full of weed. Where I'm at is mostly kikuyu lawns. At the moment I'm getting a lot of real estate jobs where the tenants look like they haven't mowed the lawns since last summer :i dunno:

When I go there the clover is about as high as me knees!

Now I'm not big enough to warrant a ride on so I have to do it with a pushmower. Took me about 4 hours to do one job!

Way under qouted but won't happen again.

Is it better to spray it first, leave a week & then mow the sucker?

The total hours would work out the same, just less crap to continually scrape out of the bottom of the mower.

Any comments would be appreciated.

Cheers
Nifty.

make sure they're gonna pay for the spraying as an add on and charge more for the first cut if the lawns haven't been maintained.

Just make sure you communicate this to the customer when they call you and then again when you're out doing the quote, if they don't want to pay I'd let your opposition lose money on the job and move on to another customer who will pay a fair price for a fair job.

Just my opinion

G'day Nifty!

In a word.....................Yes.

If the lawns knee high. Mow it then wait for some good regrowth then spray it.
If the lawn aint to long spray leave week then mow as you said.

Without seeing I would mow then come back and spray.
