Who has an accurate method of measuring land size.... other than pacing it out.

Residential blocks are pretty easy, but larger... a bit harder.

I want a basic Laser Distance Measuring Device. IS THERE ONE, and is it under $100.00????

GPS will do the job acuratly to about 1m.

Cost is more than $100 though.

Spending around $300-$400 will get you a pearla that'll double as a street directory and more.

Laser range finder that'll seek a decent distance will cost you a fortune! Then you'll have to do all the math your self too.

GPS is the go IMO.

Alex, I've thought about the GPS and read about them on LS but I cant seem to find one here that measures area.

I'd also like the Directory part of it!

Which one do you have in mind? There are a couple of brands and I think it was a Garmen or something. There are different types in that brand too.

Which one are you thinking of?

Cheers

Mick,

Garmin and Magellan have hand held units that mesure area.

The model that dose it for sure is the couler screen Garmin.
GS60CS or somthing.
Bloke at the local coms shop gave me a run down on it and showed me how it worked out in the carpark.

I'm pretty sure Magellan have a few units that mesure area too.

IMO Garmin have better readability than magellan but if your looking at a GPS that'll take the better 4by map software like AussieExplorer Magellan is the go.
