hi all,
I have purchased a cub cadet rzt 42 ztr ride on. You might remember I was trying to find used ztr for $4000. Well I couldn't find one.My cub cadet was $4300 new. It has a 17 hp briggs motor & a 42 inch cut.The cheapest that I could find a toro 16-42z for was $6995.So a big saving there.
As I have said before I am just a homeowner wanting a new mower. My old mower was a 30 inch 12hp snapper & it took me appox 1.5 hours to mow my lawn.
The new mower took 55 mintues to mow.So saved 30 mintues at least on first go [ can only get better with practise].
I thought I would post this so other people can find out that there are afforable ztr's out there.

Gday Pinetree,

I've seen them at www.greatdanemowers.net/

Great Dane Australia must be distributing them here.

Looking at the Dixons on the site. They look good as an entry level machine and the warantee is great.

You can lease a ram50 for $34.14 a week: $147.91 a month.
Not bad at all.

But you can lease a Chariot LX 52" 23hp $ 55.49 a week: $ 240.46 per month.

All depends on what you want to spend I spose.

Hell mate, that seems a good price for the dane! Over how long and is there any residual?(or what ever its called)
Do you know what it is for a 28hp/61?

I didn't realise that Great Dane had a 28hp efi the local dealer gave me a brochure of all the models and the biggest was 26efi. Admittedly I was asking about the New Holland and not the ZTR's and they are more of a large mowers (ie outfronts) and tractor shop.
what size is big dog, but it seems as though it's not as good in thick grass ??? because you use the puppy for thick stuff ?? did I get it wrong ????
How do you find the sticks between the leg??? no I don't mean the log ;frosty;
Would price be $21 to $22k ??

If ya got an Iseki ya reckon ya'd go for the air con cab??

I have looked and the deck just does not seem strong enough or have enough depth. The motor would be good but others are better at similiar price.
Been demoing ferris, kubota and hustler in 60in deck and big donks
Hustler 28efi 60in deck is the leader so far.

Congrats Greg!

Can you give a report on the Kubota ZD28PRO?

Not in my budget but love the look of them in pics and always interested in how other opperators like/dislike features on different machines.

pros...cons?
