Or rather I should say have you got a deal for us. Windows 7 goes on sale tonight. It looks to be retailing for $199.00. How much clout have you got to get this discounted for us. I will be your first buyer if you can as I am really sick of Vista.

Over to you ;)

The laptop we bought a couple of months ago has a free upgrade to Windows 7. When the better half gets it organised i shall let you know how good it is Bluey ;) (from a mate who runs a computer business it's meant to be everything vista was supposed to be and more) :)

I won't have to be much to be better than Vista. If Admin can get us a good deal it would be great. I am looking at the business edition.

Whats the upgrade from Vista worth? or is the $199 the upgrade price?

Different horses for courses. (I am impressed with snow leopard though)

I've got both Mac and PC but never bothered with the horror OS Vista. XP is still very satisfactory for what I want.

Will be interested to see what 7 is like though. The IT media are touting it as the make or break OS for Microsoft.

What do you like about it?

Well it seems the retailers out here are ripping us off a fair bit when you compare the prices to the US and UK

Interested in how many people have upgraded or bought windows 7?

Got the wife a new laptop with it installed, impressed so far. (although snow leopard is still winning for me)

Mate it is like anything else. Use what you have got to your best advantage. In truth there is not a lot of difference between XP and Win 7. A little bit here and there but you can use both and I do. I have Win 7 on my office PC and XP on my notebook

Vista...the Leyland P76 of Windows.

That reminds me. Must load that upgrade....I'm just put off by the number of times Vista is going to ask me to allow it. ;)

I Brought a new PC with windows 7 on it and it has been really good the only annoying thing was I could not get Quickbooks 2009/2010 to run on it, I have since dowloaded XP mode and I am able to run it that way.

Here's the very best mobile phone plan I could find.

•No Flag fall
•Call rate 5.50c per 30 seconds (charged in one second increments)
•Free unlimited talk time (24/7) between mobiles on this plan
•Free 500 SMS per month
•Free Voice Mail retrieval and deposits
•$12 per month Admin fee
•Data charged at $11.50 for 500mb per month (optional)
•OPTUS Network
•24 month contract
•Bring your own phone or buy one outright.

So, a six second call will cost you one cent!

The catch - only for Jim's franchises and their clients!

Use a bookkeeper, cleaner, etc.... then save a fortune on your! mobile

What version are you running bluey? I have 2009/2010 Plus and for the life of me could not get it to work unless I use xp mode. :( might have another crack at it.

2009/10 Accountants Edition. I initially had a problem getting the exe file to work but it was fine after that. If you have 2009/10 currently loaded you have to delete that first. Just save your company files and reload them after install

The installer for ALL versions since last year's, is the same. It's the install key entered that enables advanced functions and determines accounting, plus, premier, etc... version

if you have a eligible uni email address or know someone with one you can down load windows 7 pro for $119 or office pro for$75 from the ultimate steal website

The requirement is NOT just have a uni student email address, but US university email with suffice .edu from one of the US universities from, a list, AND be able supply proof of enrollment on request.

this may make it easier to find it'snotcheating/ultimatesteal (http:///www.microsoft.com/student/discounts/itsnotcheating/default.aspx) note this is also available to tafe students with and eligible email address ie:if your doing an horticultural course through a tafe you probably have a qualifying email
and my mistake it's not office pro but office ultimate with free upgrade to office 2010 available
