Why don't you try Barmac Broadleaf Weeder. It kills them all but DO NOT use it on Buffalo. I use it on most lawns, if you use it on Kikuyu it will make it turn yellow but it will then green up again so make certain you explain this to the client before you use it.

I only use Barmac Bindii Killer on Buffalo, I find it does kill the Bindi, but I usually tell all my clients that I have to spray twice, 14 days after the first spray, this usually gets them all.

I used sports grounds and find it works well, with over a 90% kill rate.

I only use campbell chemicals and scott products as the person l work for part time has the contract to sell the brand in Tasmania.

Greenhaven,

I use a book called "Weeds An illustrated botanical guide to the weeds of Australia" B.A Auld and R.W. Medd authors and printed by Inkata Press. Its not cheap $128. at Dymocks, I got my copy through the University Book shop in Sydney for about $89.00
There is also another good book called "Field Guide to Weeds in Australia"

Hi GreenHaven, like you I'm West Aussie and I used to frequent David Grays. I like them because they're a local manufacturer and wholesaler but their stock is limited and the herbicides they manufacturer are mostly for domestic use (weak stuff) e.g. Crab Grass & Clover Killer (http://www.davidgray.com.au/products/home-garden/herbicides/crab-grass-clover-killer.html).

I now go to Globe Australia in Malaga for my herbicide and fertiliser needs. For broadleaf weeds, I use Broadside which is about $300 for 20L. For paspalum, summergrass, sedges, crab grass and nut grass, I use DSMA Clear (http://www.barmac.com.au/documents/DSMC_TU_BR.pdf)which is about $90 for 10L. I love DSMA Clear, it's not the strongest stuff out there but AFAIK it's the only one with in-built wetting agent.

I think you will find this weed control guide (in PDF) by the WA Dept of Agriculture useful (other states may have other prevalent weeds): http://www.agric.wa.gov.au/objtwr/imported_assets/content/pw/gard/gn_control_common_weeds_lawns.pdf
