Got some flax & dianella plants to thin out and or possibly completely remove (flax). Never done this before so is there any tips?

I imagine some of the Kiwi guys would be best to advise on the flax removal.

Bloody hard work

Dianellas reshoot from the smallest piece of root left behind.
Try a mattock and then follow up regularly with glypho.

They are good to replant somewhere you need something tough.
I have used them in some of my body corps where nothing else grows.

Whats the time frame on the job. If you have a bit of time for the ones you want out spray with blackberry/tree killer spray combined with round up and wait. Flax r easy to pull out when dead. Dianella just get under it with a mattock. Or blow them up as suggested just watch your OH&S :).
