how much can a toolbox overhang the mudguard on the passenger side?

hi guys,

i want to put a tool box above the mudguard on the side of the trailer, on the passenger side.

how much if at all can i over hang it? anyone know?

eg, the mudguard is 250 mm wide, the tool box is 400 mm wide, so 150 mm "hangs out"

More a case of the overall width of the trailer and relevant road authority legislation.
May require marker lights or reflectors.

From memory it's 2.5mtrs max width for trailers in Qld without permits.

If your in queensland you cant over hang the mudguard.
