Not back in mate, thank fk!
Hi Ed, good to see you're still kicking on! Season here got off to a great start but died in the azz with lack of rain. Newbies came and went in a blink of an eye.
The old hands are still around!...
Was a good story until the married bit! Why throw it all away? haaaa :wave-hi:
Let me know when you're up, catch up for a beer and whinge or something! ;)
Sorry to hear the hip drama is persisting Mark. I know its very hard to keep going with that kind of pain, Im still having sciatica pain in the hip/buttock that seems to be getting harder to manage....
About 10 years ago the Metrac was about $100k. The deck alone was $30k on top. A contractor was using one here for a while but I think he went broke or lost the contract (city). Apparently it was...
Yeah mate, Im a lurker! hehe Hope you get it sorted. :wave-hi:
I have an 07 or 08 D4D. My top right (the smaller shiny pulley on the right on Garry's second pic) pulley is 80mm OD.
Have a look into a Buff. This vid explains it... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-dE3WFaObk
On a nice regular lawn I guess you could even trim one handed dragging the head around everywhere if you wanted but once you get into anything heavier, that requires more cut off, then you need...
But then you lose leverage!
Bend at the knees boys! lol
Hi ya Ed, been another dry start to the season hey! Hope thing pick up for you soon!
Thanks mate but no idea!
I would be looking at trimmers with the least angle at the line head gear box. Greater the angle the lower you need to hold the engine to keep the line flat.

This is what my local dealer uses in all Bigdog and Scag ztrs. He uses it...
Congrats on the new machine. But why no full suspension seat?
This should clear it up, from the police website.
Officer in Charge Sergeant Rob Jorna confirms that under the ‘Transport Road use Management Act 1995’ a ride-on mower is classed as a motor vehicle...
Interesting! I wonder if you stuck some expanded metal on that tail gate the mower might get more traction. It does look a little steep though.
You'd be seriously unlucky to get fined for an unrego'd mower ie, unloading onto a road. If you were doing city or council work where you had to drive along road sides between jobs etc then yes, you...
Aaaaaand...................... Not touching that one!:scared
It only takes a stick or rock to be thrown or flicked up and thats a belt. Also, mowing very short can put excessive angle between pulleys and belt which can also cause issues. Too much or not enough...
You should have an icloud account right? You should be able to back up to that and update without even plugging into the computer. That was a change apple made some time ago.
Little ramps or bigger tail gates an easy fix but it will add more weight to the back that will need offsetting.
To offset the weight, get a couple of jerry can holders and use jerry cans for your...
Looks good mate! I doesnt look steep enough to warrant ramps. If you can get away without them I wouldnt worry about them. Its just another couple of steps to load/unloading.
Congrats!
