MowerRob, you are dead right about the cost!

Only 6 months ago or so, Syngenta re-packaged the Monument from the previously granular package to the 1 litre Liquid package.

    At present, we...

    Re: Eradicating kikuyu in couch

Kikuyu in green couch (as opposed to Queensland Blue Couch - totally different plant) can be eradicated with Monument (by Syngenta) or DSMA (by generic).

Trouble with these products is they are...

    Sticky: Re: hows the weather

Fair indication of curl grub damage to turf grasses. I am seeing a lot of it (dead patches in lawns) in Sydney lawns especially after the run of 40 degrees plus days 2 weeks ago!

    Good luck with the zoysia!

Zoysia, like kikuyu and green couch, is a turf grass with both stolons (above ground runners) and rhizomes (below ground runners). Therefore, zoysia is capable as...

Re: Spraying Couch grass and other weeds.

Have you ever tried getting couch grass or kikuyu out of Mondo Grass in a garden situation? Good luck! But with Fusilade it's as easy as falling of a log.

Re: Spraying Couch grass and other weeds.

There is a selective herbicide called Fusilade that targets couch & kikuyu in garden plant situations without being harmful to garden plants. However, it's dear as poison.

A couple of options as follows:
    1. Spray bindii with Bin-Die, but the herbicide will go for all broadleaf weeds just about. The only things remaining will be any annual grasses (ie wintergrass, etc)...
