    Re: Which stihl hedge trimmer

went had a look at the dealers(wet day today). Chris is right on the money. The HLA135 K feels like the pick of the bunch. The motor is near the battery and no longer at the head meaning there is a...

    Re: Which stihl hedge trimmer

Cheers Chris. I'll have to head to the dealer and suss em out and report back my thoughts. You'd think Sthil would at least get the specs right. What do you like most about the HLA135K and does it...

    Re: Which stihl hedge trimmer

I think my Sthil HLA65 may have packed it in today. I notice they are no longer available. There is now a HLA66 and a HLA86. What is the difference between the the HLA65 and the 66? From what I could...

    Re: Fuel prices - ouch!

Interesting that diesel is cheaper than petrol as it should be as it is less refined. Dunno why diesel has to be dearer in Australia.

Interesting. That new one looks exactly like my supaswift 30T splitter with chinese engine.. it was tempting to buy a log processor which lifts cuts splits and conveys.

Bought the Sthil RMA510V self propelled today for the home mower. It is not a commercial machine but I am impressed by it. Very light, hardly needs the self propelling but handy for uphill and full...

New toy. They aren't much lighter but you should soon appreciate not having to fuel it up. And less noise and vibration.

You have me worried now fred. I hope husky have turned a corner with the 325ilk. I just wish Sthil had of come up with a decent whipper snipper as an alternative to ego or husky. I waited and waited.

I only decided to go with the husky because I get good service from the dealer. Having said that I'd be more than happy not to have go back to the dealer with an issue.

    Re: EGO Gear

Surprised that are you using a 425. I would have thought being a 25cc equivalent that a 375 might be more suitable. Have you tried a 375 on it?

Hey Geoff, what head are you using on yours?

    EGO Gear

I notice Husky have a new combi trimmer which appears to have a gear box rather than the motor in the head like the 520ilx. I think the ego also has a gear box. Anyone fitted a speed feed to either...
