    Re: your vehicle

My advice for load is carry the bare minimum. It is amazing when you start throwing in a few tools, straps etc how much extra you end up with, most if it isn't used.

    Re: your vehicle

This is creepy mate. I have the same truck and a cox mower too..... Except I'll be getting rid of the truck soon. My advice is watch out in the wet. It'll test your driving skills. You will become a...
  3. Re: Cox Ride On Mowers Are They Are They Still Worth Getting

Just read your post again. The lawn boss comes with 15HP PowerBOSS single cylinder engine whereas your saying your going with 17.5 Intek which is the engine on the 3500/4000 so maybe i misunderstood...
  4. Re: Cox Ride On Mowers Are They Are They Still Worth Getting

When I bought my 4000 the lawn boss's looked really cheap build. Maybe it s changed now, i don't know. They went to some grey colour but I look at the website and now they are all red. You probably...

Re: Coronavirus + Business + You

It's the super rich scrambling back via private planes to countries where they can buy access to a ventilator/oxygen.
  6. Re: Cox Ride On Mowers Are They Are They Still Worth Getting

I have had 2, both B&S. Can't complain about them.
  7. Re: Ute + trailer OR truck... how to choose? Help!!

    Thank you kindly sir.
  8. Re: Ute + trailer OR truck... how to choose? Help!!

I did think about buying an old late 90's landrover defender. The last model before common rail was introduced but that would mean an old vehicle and there just isn't any on the market in good knick...
  9. Re: Ute + trailer OR truck... how to choose? Help!!

oh yeah and I did get a diesel. There just isn't an alternative that can come close to the fuel economy and torque.
  10. Re: Ute + trailer OR truck... how to choose? Help!!

They have diesel filters that are designed to allow water to come out at the bottom but the diesel specialist where I have my truck in reckons they are useless. It only needs microscopic water...
  11. Re: Ute + trailer OR truck... how to choose? Help!!

It'll be enjoyable as long as I keep the cost of it out of my mind including the insurance premiums.

Does anyone know if fitting a water separator/prefilter to a new vehicle affects the warranty?...
  12. Re: Ute + trailer OR truck... how to choose? Help!!

I've gone with the Triton. I have my fingers crossed thats its the right choice. Hopefully get it by the end of the week. Anyone want a used Kia 2900, one little ol lady...

Re: Coronavirus + Business + You

Best form of defence is to listen to the science. Politicians and newspapers don't start taking notice of scientists until its too late.

There is a pretty handy FAQ here from the world authority...

It's a stand off. Coppers with capsicum spray versus gardener with glyphosate spray.
  16. Re: Ute + trailer OR truck... how to choose? Help!!

Thank you for that. Very good to know. Also, while i think of it, anyone looking at buying a car check that it doesn't have the Tanaka airbags.

  17. Re: Ute + trailer OR truck... how to choose? Help!!

Yeah, I agree they are weird looking (what were they thinking), I don't like them either but I'm driving a Kia K2900. Arguably the weirdest looking ute on the road. As my missus said 'you sit inside...

Work till your arrested, coppers can't come with 1.5metres. Bottle shops definetly essential, we need the alcholo to clean things.

Re: Coronavirus + Business + You

I didn't think we are any threat to anyone as long as we keep our distance but looking at what has happened in Asia & Europe it could be total lockdown. There is a lot of flow on effect here. e.g....

That is a big problem alright. Like trying to herd sheep. One gets spooked and you have lost them.
  21. Re: Ute + trailer OR truck... how to choose? Help!!

You talking about the Triton or the BT50?
  22. Re: Ute + trailer OR truck... how to choose? Help!!

Anyway looked at or heard about the Mitsubishi Tritons? Only a 2.4litre but 4 or 5 grand cheaper than a BT50 and that is with a towbar thrown in.

Re: moved to the dark side.

I love my Honda 216. It just doesn't die. Bought it in Aug 2012, still going strong. I have a ROVER Sp which I use for home and as a backup but no experience with anything else. Touch wood.

Re: Coronavirus + Business + You

I'm a bit of a doomsayer on this but I hope I am wrong. There is a lot of empahasis on money, work, economy and rightly so but the elderly are at big risk and when the hospitals fill up there won't...
  25. Re: Ute + trailer OR truck... how to choose? Help!!

Been looking around a bit and what I have noticed that the most common ute on the road seems to be the ford ranger but there is also a lot of them in used car lots. Why not so many BT50's if they are...
