    Re: Blade wear

Thanks arfa, I use Delo 400 in both the Landcruiser and my mowers, just had to buy a hru216 as rovers are 'unnavailable'.....
Bit of a lump but I'll adapt quickly enough.
    The fuel efficiency of the...

    Re: AMC Ride-ons,Anyone use them?

Thanks for that info Ian1, that may explain why a part I ordered for my AMC 6 weeks ago, via a previously reliable retailer, has not arrived.
    Cheers.

    Re: Staff

Personally I would only consider using a sub-contractor.
I would only use some-one I knew personally, whom I respected as a person, and whose work I respected also.
    Any other arrangement could have...

    Re: AMC Ride-ons,Anyone use them?

Activegrip I own both an AMC and a Cox.
The little 10.5hp 26" cut Cox has a cone drive, the 16hp 33" cut AMC is a cork drive, both are strongly built units.
The AMC is more comfortable and cuts...

    Re: John Deere

Nev, if you've managed to get 800 commercial hours out of it, IMHO you have done very good indeed!
Worzel, for what you would consider my opinion to be worth, I would suggest either Cox or...

    Re: Acre Care

Either of those mowers sound like overkill to me Reddgie, IMHO they are more designed for lawns rather than aussie-style 'paddocks'! ;)
I'd be looking for a second hand Cox, Greenfield or AMC ride...

    Re: John Deere

Nev, think they are re-badged Murrays.
Went through a few of them (Murrays) before I went to Aussie made, can certainly understand your frustration.
Best of luck with replacing it.

    Re: Best paying customers

Our worst payers are those with the most money..............
    Doctors, broadacre farmers, teachers, professors,
guess they think everyone is on $150k per annum!
We avoid any sus looking charactors...

    Re: Oil for 4 strokes

Found that after a few hours use, 10-30w sent my honda powered rover 20" sp into fits, nearly blew up!
Changed to straight 30w and hasn't gone wrong since, dumfounded but delighted! Pretty warm here...

    AMC 16hp friction drive ride-ons

Any 16 hp AMC friction drive owners out there?
How have you found the durability of the drive units?
I have been under-whelmed with the design of the above and am wondering whether any owners have...

    Re: Any other mower?

Personally I use Rovers (20" self-propelled) as I have found them the most cost effective.
Probably because I do all my own service and repairs and Rover parts are fairly cheap, readily available,...

    Re: Mower Cleaner

Personally I never use water or any liquids on any mowing equipment, just a hit with the blower. Used to wash etc the gear, but nowadays avoid it like the plague.

Re: What Bags do you uses if at all
