I paid $20,000 3 years ago for the zd331 60" if that helps.
I'd bet a 31hp kawa petrol would use a 1/3 more fuel than the equivalent diesel, have a 1/3 of the life span, and struggle in long grass, just quietly.
I've been running a zd331 60" for 3 years and love it. I have a lot of slopes and using correct technique dont have a problem unless its really wet. Keep the tyres at 10psi or less for better grip...
Do you think the guy in the photo has enough protective gear on? Would have to be one of our friends from the far east I'd say.
This brushcutter is now on Ebay starting at $400.....it would make a wonderful Xmas present!:xmas
Actually after more research the Redmax has its problems. Ive narrowed it down to Echo pb770 ($1200 here, $470 in US) and Stihl br600 ($999 here, $499 there). Will have to check freight, but sounds...
I'm also looking at backpacks from the states, how is the shindy running now? On the Speedway sales site I also like the Redmax EBZ8050 which the yanks rate very highly and is cheaper. Redmax are now...
I have just ordered some Kubota parts from the States, mainly filters and the like, (and a workshop manual) 60% cheaper than here and postage was about $130 for 10-12kg. Blades were a lot cheaper but...
It all depends on what size machine you have, how many obstacles there are, what sort of grass, tall whispy stuff will be different to tall thick kikuyu. Quote a first up price and then lower it for...
Yeah thought of that but i'd miss the little line cutting blade. How else could you keep a sharp end on the line?
Tried different handle positions. Theres something about the smooth power delivery of a 4 stroke that you get used to I guess, plus I was having trouble edging vertically accurately due to the sheild...
Alright, I bought a KBL 27C a week ago hoping it would feel a bit lighter than my Honda. After trying it for a week I just cant adjust to the different technique required and cannot get use to it. So...
Had someone ring up the other day asking if I could come and do the lawn, will leave the $30 out. The address didnt sound familiar so after further questions she tells me I did a quote back in...
I'm liking the rattle gun idea after smashing myself in the nose with a large torque wrench that slipped yesterday while changing the ZTR blades. I dont want to hear "Daddy, why are you crying?"...
I have Sir Walter buffalo at home and the beauty of it is it doesnt need a mow between March and about October, then it really takes off in November thru to Feb, requiring almost a weekly mow. They...
Definitely dont forget to grease blade spindles! I learnt the hard way that they need to be done at least every 8 hrs. I do it everytime I refuel so I dont forget.
It is 570mm wide and about 1050mm high (on lowest setting).
Ive had the 216m2 for about 4 weeks now and its become my main workhorse. I wish I had have gone self propelled years ago. Like most guys I started with a 195, then 197, and then a 196 and have...
Thanks for the welcome, I'm in Ringwood North, Melb. Ive been part time for 12 years but have got jack of working for the man and have just gone full time, probably couldnt have picked a better...
Try Ebay, there are some 20lt sprayers for around $50. After using the 15lt Bunnings ones for many years I was impressed how comfortable these are, they are moulded to your back a bit better and...
