    Thanks for the replys guys.

    Ended up pulling the trigger on a Rover Pro Cut 50 pushy with a Kohler on it as I need something that works without too many mods or maintenance.

    Pretty sure you can get different grades of solid rubber fill.

    Cheapest option is the old carpet strips inside the tyre before...

    Mick is spot on Bluey. The high temp paint I used was from Bummings and rated to 1000F (540C).

    EDIT: Also my drum is definately a 44gal/205L drum. Just like the one in the link below.
