    Re: Honda GXV160 question

Don't do it. Nasty gutless boat anchors. Even wound up to 3600 rpm they struggle. Many better options ie Briggs 850 ic, Kawasaki KAI or even Hondas own gsv190.

Unused Rover Procut 560 for sale $750

One only Rover procut 560 for sale. New (unused). Bought in the box as a spare but not required as I have pulled the pin after many years in the game. Assembled over the Christmas break; fuelled,...

    Re: Victa mulchmaster 560

Hi Hjl. Have been using both a Mulchmaster (GSV 190 Honda powered) and a Big Bob for side discharge over many years. Both are great at what they do but they go about it in very different ways. Big...

    Re: Victa mulchmaster 560

Double check with your dealer as to availability. Most recent info suggested that Briggs 850 and Honda have been discontinued and replaced with Vanguard.

  6. Re: Honda HRX217HYA imported from USA - A better mower for less $$ than an Aussie HRU

The poor old thing uses almost as much oil as it does fuel. In the space of barely a year, it has managed to amass quite an inventory of Honda HRX specific parts. Besides the normal service items,...
  7. Re: Honda HRX217HYA imported from USA - A better mower for less $$ than an Aussie HRU

Some time ago, I picked up an HRX from a customer who had only used it a handful of times. Pleased that I did not have to pay anywhere full noise for the "pleasure" of owning this one. As troppo...

    Re: Tanaka TCG 27 EAS

Hi Red. I am afraid that these "New" Tanakas are just Chinese built rubbish. As mentioned elsewhere on the Forum, the last of the "old school" Japanese built Tanakas (ie TBC 290, 340 etc are about to...

Re: Where are they being made now

    Hi Lads.
As for the Kubota whippys, they are rebranded Kazz machines using the well proven Mitsu. range of engines. Can't see a made in Japan sticker anywhere so assume china.

Re: Where are they being made now

For those of you who wish to purchase a Tanaka product which was still "Made in Japan", get your skates on.
The last shipment of TBC 290s, 340s etc (which are the last of the old school Tanakas) is...

    Re: cheap whippy

8 kilograms!!!! You must be joking.
If you are after a cheapie, try the Kubota 2 stroke at 5.2 kg and $360. Mitsubishi 26cc and made by Kazz. Tough as nails and commercial quality.

Re: Tanaka going to the dogs

I suggest that you speak with a rep. from Parklands, Both the tbc 270s and its split shaft cousin are gone. I have had a chance to view the "replacement" ; pitiful Jed, just pitiful.

    Tanaka going to the dogs

Tanaka's move to china is beginning to be felt in their product range and quality. Gone is the TBC 230s and now I find that the brilliant TBC 270s is discontinued; replaced by an obviously inferior...

Seems that a lot of our Brethren are adopting ZTR's and now standers as the new order in mowing.
