Yes it's heavy to lift, but still easy to manoeuvre.
I could just lift the HRx & mulchmaster into the back of the ute, but not this one.

I bought a Masport 21" SP Contractor last week with B&S 850. I like it so far. It does everything well. 3 speed gearbox- 2nd gear is a brisk walk.
The only thing I see that might be a problem is...
Hi hjl, The book says the min with my deck is 1.5". I just measured mine and it's about 30mm at the front on a concrete floor.. Theoretically you could replace the washers with thinner ones and get...
Scored a freebie 8x5 tilt trailer off an old friend.
Will travel up on Sunday to pick it up. :)

I christened the Walker this morning on a rough commercial job. There wasn't a lot of grass to cut... just mostly weeds. It cuts & chops them up nice and fine, even side throwing.
Still haven't...
I only picked it up yesterday.
Nothing to cut here ATM. I did 5 minutes today trying to mulch up some leaves at home but that's all. Didn't seem to have as much vacuum as I expected but I think...
I got the MB19. Mulch or side throw.
It's a new learning curve trying to steer the thing. :)

:) I've already got that one Ian. My oldtimer meds make me a bit dizzy & wobbly at times, so need it to get from ute to mower. :)
Decided to get the Walker. Pick it up tomorrow.
Went & had a look at a Gravely zt hd today. They had a 48" on the floor, but they also do them in a 44". They are going to check availability of a 44" for me.
Classed as residential but don't look...
I ordered & put a deposit on that one Paul, but none available in AU, and they won't be bringing anymore in, in 44", apparently. :(
Yes there certainly is a premium on standers atm. I bought my...
My trailer is 7x4 Ian. The 2300Length is with a 48" deck, so I think the 42" might be a bit shorter. I asked this morning & they tell me it's ok to reverse on and the fold up the deck, so that...
Thanks NLALM & Chris.
I did demo a stander a while ago Chris, but I'd had enough of it after about ½ hour. I think I'm too tall & too old.
NLALM, how does the side discharge go in thick grass?...
I need to update my Gravely Compact Pro 44" as it's got 1700 hours on it.
Ordered a Ferris IS600 44" but none in AU & no more 44" coming.
Need a 44" or less to save me buying a new trailer, but...
The clips look a bit different to the model available in Aust. The AU version LB553Se goes down to 27mm.

I think they have timed blades so they can overlap without hitting.
Digging up the old threads now.
Made this up a few months ago to organise excess gear that I don't take out regularly.
Just some ceiling tophat battens & #8 wire hooks.

Not ignoring you Vics Geoff. Really feeling bad for you fellas that are doing it hard while we have escaped relatively unscathed so far up here. Things can change for the worst for us too very...
I don't think it works like that Ian. Once you qualify, you are good until Sept. Say you had a bad April and recovered in June/July you can still claim up until Sept. If your downturn in cashflow...
I have an Atom, but rarely use it.
I use the edger attachment with the Stihl Kombi if I have much overgrown edges to do.
Usually just use the line trimmer though.
I only use it on acreage/schools. The lowest I cut is 2.5". Mostly 2.75".
Even the 44" that I use on some residentials never sees 1". Only a very odd one gets cut at 1.5", and most at 2". Half acres...
Hi Andy, I think you were one of the first to welcome me when I first joined.
Yes the $600 by lunchtime was industry standard, and soon after if you didn't have a Malloo pulling your trailer you...
Hi Greenie, I started about the same time as you. After getting shafted by droughts & floods in the pastoral industry for most of my life, I started mowing/gardening so that I could keep getting...
Hi Geoff, Yes I think I'll go with the quarterly estimate.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but if I use quarterly comparison/estimate I should get the assistance for April onward.
Whereas if I go...
Thanks Ian. I just read that up and it looks like you can use an average monthly turnover figure to compare to. (Averaged over the previous 12 months). The drought/bushfire exceptions only come into...
