I think the 6.5hp claim on that black engine might be a bit dodgy.
Seems most manufacturers of these small engines quote Torque values rather than HP.
Rover 910- 196cc- 9.1 ft lbs torque
Black Engine- 196cc - 7.7 ft lbs torque
B&S 850 i/c - 190cc - 8.5ft lbs torque
even the Kohler xt775 @ 173cc has similar torque figures to the black engine (7.75ft lbs)
Rover 910- 196cc- 9.1 ft lbs torque..............RPM
Black Engine- 196cc - 7.7 ft lbs torque..........RPM
B&S 850 i/c - 190cc - 8.5ft lbs torque...........RPM
even the Kohler xt775 @ 173cc has similar torque figures to the black engine (7.75ft lbs)......RPM
What RPM are they running at

Hi troppo
This chute looks really good.
Please post how to for the challenged like me. I am having trouble working out how you make this.
Thanks

Hi troppo
Yes I was referring to the chute you made yourself. Tried to post under that post but it came here. I am still having trouble working out how you made it. Do you measure your catcher to get the curved bit? How do you make the bends? A bit of board and a vise? The back piece is it the same height as the outlet flap at the back of your mower?
As you can see I need all the help I can get.
Cheers

Just woke up and couldn't get back to sleep!!!!!! Aluminium sheet off cut from local alloy welding specialist. Yes, copied the catcher lip. Made bends by clamping to the work bench edge with a piece of timber and two g-clamps. The two pieces are joined with a piece of angle and bolts/nyloc nuts. As far as design goes, just made it up as I went to what I thought would work re angles. To hold it in place the front fits snug into the chute opening, the top fits into the flap, and I have a piece if wire at the back LHS that hooks over the handle. If I ever made another one, I would take more time to make it fit better and change the angles a bit so the bottom is not parallel to the ground, but rises up at an angle. This is so I can lift the front wheels more without it dragging on the ground. Hope that helps.
Hi troppo
Thanks very much for your reply. That does help. Might even be able to make one myself now.
Cheers

anyone wanting to replace the air filter in the snorkel/handle, I just found them at Supercheap Auto for $3. My mower shop charges $10 for the same.
Also noticed that if you mow in the rain, I know, not ideal but if you get caught out, the filter gets wet and the spring in the housing squashes the filter.
The Chinese motor on the 560 karked it a couple of weeks back. Probably repairable but didn't need to even look because I picked up a brand new motor from a mower shop in SE Queensland for 80 bucks - seems the local contractor (contractors) don't like the Chinee, think the Briggs is better so pay to have a Briggs fitted and leave the other behind. Why? I have two 560's, one Chinese 196 and the other Briggs. The Chinese runs rings around the Brigs for power and costs $80 to replace motor, the rest of mower is still good as after 3 years of constant use and earning so new motor equals hopefully another 3 tears. Nothing wrong with the Briggs but why go to the expense these guys have gone to for what gain. Also have a Hustler Zero with a 42" deck and Kawasaki 17 hp motor. Motor is being a bit lazy lately so thinking of an engine replace - shame the Chinese don't make something like a 23-25 hp motor for small dollars cause I woiuld be more than willing to give it a go if someone else didn't want it Rant ends - see ya..
10 sec's of googling found this mate, no idea if they're any good.......http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/25HP-Engi...-/300982678668
