Default Dumping of bricks and concrete

I have a clean up this weekend where I need to dispose of some broken brick pavers and break up a concrete slab under a garden shed.

Can anyone recommend the most cost effective way to dump the old bricks and concrete?

Is there a recycling centre in Adelaide that will take them cheaper than an ordinary waste transfer station or am I best off just hiring a Mini skip? Who do people in Adelaide recommend for skip bin hire?

Have a drive around and look for a building site just starting and ask if they want some fill...

I always use a skip for stuff like this. If you go with a trailer you have to man handle it twice. Not fun. Just write the cost of the skip into the quote. They are all pretty much the same go with a company near your site as they will probably be cheaper to deliver

also the weight can be an issue with concrete, dirt or stones in a trailer
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

Can't tell you about your tip, but mine will take that sort of rubbish "almost free", to use as road base for their trucks etc. I always phone them first before i quote and go from there.

Best thing is , your customer won't know you can tip cheap so go nuts

bluey is right with the skip, but you miss out on the profit of dumping too if you do that. i often dump hard waste at iws (IWS is situated on the corner of Hines and Wingfield Roads, Wingfield) for my trailer i think the max i have paid would be $50, but often hps less. if you do dump you have to take into account the time taken, fuel, wear and tear and profit. i always tell my clients that it is easy to get rid of green waste, but not hard waste, hence the higher charge. you can dump closer at say newton, but you will pay bid time for the privelage.

Last time I dumped concrete it was something like $18 per tonne, versus green waste at $150/tonne.

I have decided to use a Mini Skip, to make the job quicker. Hoping the rain isn't too severe tomorrow and Saturday, as I have to break up this slab and move quite a lot of soil with a Dingo.
