    Default Silent Auction Prize

    Hi all,
I have been asked if I want to submit an item for a silent auction this weekend, (short notice, I know) any Ideas? I was thinking of offering a dollar amount in services but I don't want to get stuck traveling the other side of town for a free job every month. The other option I was thinking of would be to put together a pack of gardening products eg. Seasol, Gloves, Weedkiller, Small garden tools. The second option means the business won't be promoted as well, and I need to find the time to get all the supplies. What are your thoughts?

I got some vouchers off vista print that say this entitles you to a mow up to $60 in value and i donated them as prizes to 4 different schools and have not had a single one come back the schools made money selling tickets i got free advertising and picked up a few jobs from a couple of parents thinking it was great that i was supporting the schools.

i would suggest stating within a certain radius ie:10k from your townhall also a use by date
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

I did vouchers for the local kinda 2 years in a row. $100.00 of my service to be used within 12 months. Got a little bit of repeat business out of it, but not that great. Next time I am going to purchase plants from the wholesaler, so effectively $50.00 for $100.00 retail value, so getting the same advertising out of it, at a cheaper rate. Both times the auction went for a higher value than the voucher.

Auction was today, bit of a flop for my prize. The winner will be getting a bargain.
