I thought I had carb problems with my blower, but turned out to be a clogged spark arrester in the muffler.

Bloody spark arrestors need arresting. Useless bloody things unless your working in fire danger areas. Just another example of crap foisted upon us by the govt

    Hi
My old echo brushcutter stopped on me the other day. I took it to my mechanic. It was the diaframe in the carbie that had got a hole in it. Cheap to fix. That might be your problem.

Sounds like the metering level could be off or the inlet needle valve may need replacing, ive fixed a number of the old ryobi brushies that have this problem, the valve stays open and floods the engine, could be the high or low speed needles need adjusting as well... could be a number of these....if its relatively old or well used, try a carby kit to replace all gaskets (can buy these cheap online ebay has them for under $10 from the us, a shop will charge $20-$30), youll need to make sure the metering lever is set correctly, check the make of the carby and the manufacturer usually zama or walbro will have a tuning guide for that carby on their website.

Spark arrestor is Gone.Diaphram looks good.Replaced half of the sender hose as it appeared to have a pin hole in it. Seems that it has a Zama carby and a walbro pick-up in the tank...Normal?

To the shop tomorrow i think.Only one i got so might be time to buy a new one anyway.

Mine gives me trouble now and then. Blow out the carbie and then drain and blow out the fuel tank. I try not to let any of my equipment run out of fuel as any dirt or crap that ends up in the tank then ends up going through the carbie.

I just had this problem with my pb2155 yesterday, it was the fuel line going to the fuel filter inside the tank had rotted & broken off at the little brass joiner, reconnected it & it seems fine now, try changing the spark plug & tuning the high & low mixture screws
