    Question Pruning Help

    I have a Bird of Praradise plant that is aprox - 6feet high by 6feet in Circumference - full of fish bone fern and in Flower
    how hard can i cut it back without to much damage
    i have never had to cut one back before but this one really needs a good clean up
    help please

    depends on the variety ,it maybe a good size .lop any heads that are starting to die .then strip anything that looks like its dieing starting from the bottom and working your way to the top

    If you want to thin it out bigG is right, start with the dead and dying. but if you want to do a really good job in thinning it out/ reduce the size you have to dig the outsides down to the roots. They have a very dense root structure so its a hard job to do.
