And Tree Work! You get annual work rather than fortnightly but at least people don't think they can do it themselves like lawns: they realise you need skill, equipment and insurance! None of the other lawnies in town offer hedging either.

[QUOTE So now I have only 4 quotes to do today, another day for dropping flyers I hope soon it picks up.....[/QUOTE]
4 quotes = 4 jobs today. As you give them their regular cut price, just add on " and i can do them for you now" you'd be surprised how many jobs you get this way

Just read the blurb at the bottom of your signature Sterlo. Love it.
The client has been phoning around various contractors and no one will do it,i have one that needs doing at a factory and if i knew someone i would give that to them aswell.
Tomorrow i have to go and spend over an hour or more trying to cut it down with a bad heart.not looking forward to it.
And yes it was put up on this forum a while back trying to find someone.
It must be a tough one if no-one will do it or is it just because of travel. Take it steady if the weather's a bit warm. No job is worth having a heart-attack over.
I already had one back in march
I was thinking about this thread today and i was thinking the main problem is that most of these are causal customers not regular ones,,nothing wrong with that in fact i have a few that ring up every so often,,we all want regular but ring ups are a bit more money anyway.
I am thinking Greenie is on the right track when he told them to ring when required, theres no point in him calling around and wasteing his time you can't force them to be regular customers if they have no intention of being so,, just needs to build up some real regulars for the books and should not be to hard over summer.
Problem with ASP blades is they dont have a lot of lift. They would be worth a try though but just get one set first. Also, check there balanced. The ones I were getting were terrible!
I used to be a big supporter of ASP but after getting Oregon blades, there is no comparison.
Here are a few pics to show what Im saying in regards to lift or sail. The Oregon and ASP look the same from the top view but different on side view.

Ooooops! Could someone remove my last post, its in the wrong thread. No edit button!
Got an email from a *current* commercial customer. They want prices on a 3 week schedule, change how has been for several years (in there favour). I sent them prices and schedule that are exactly what they are now, my schedule!
I told them I cannot change the way it is.
This is a $600+ per mth customer, one that I cannot really afford to loose. But, after writing what I have in here, Im manning but an doing what I preach! Pft, every 3 weeks my azz! It grows 8" a week!
