hey Aido as Bluey is still going to be the old man with loads of experience and years of business under his belt it would probably be fair to ask him to pay the airfare
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

Well, getting back to the topic. Cooler temps, rain and storms predicted.... http://www.goldcoast.com.au/article/...ther-news.html
I REALLY hope its not another full on wet season! Cant work when its wet either!
I dout that but we could only hope I have been water my sir walter every day to keep it green just winning over the heat.
But if you aint ''STIHL'' you aint real....
It's better to water it deeply twice a week rather than every day. If you water every day, the soil at the top stays wet so the roots of the turf stay on top, which then makes it more susceptible to heat stress. You get some hot days and the roots get fried because they are just below the surface. If you water less frequently but deeply, the top will dry out but it will still be moist down below, so the roots will go deep and it will become much more drought tolerant. Even if you water once in the morning, then again at night, then leave it for 3 days or so and it will be heaps better for it long term.
As far as business goes, I have been a little quiet with resi irrigation jobs this year, but the commercial jobs keep rolling in. I think people are just tightening their wallets a bit with doom and gloom talk about the global economy and this stupid carbon tax bringing uncertainty.
