    Default Mornington Peninsula Indies

    Hi Mow Fo's,

I'm looking to become yet another lawnie on the Mornington Peninsula.
    My questions:

Who else is operating down here out of all of you?
    What is the market like?

I know there are heaps of Lawnies down here already, but from the people I talk to, apparently there is still a huge demand.
Now, I don't want to cut another man's grass (pun intended!) but would be very interested in hearing from other locals.

    Cheers,

    Dean

    Thanks guys,

Good point HPM, if someone could PM me the rates that would be great, I'm not looking to undercut my way in to the market, keeping a uniform rate amongst the indies would be great!

Seriously MG,..Don't worry about competition levels etc. There is plenty of room for everybody in the home services game. There is a huge demand everywhere.
The faster you take the plunge atm, the easier it will be to get a foothold. I started up during the end of Autumn/start of Winter, and I have culled my regulars back to 120 good ones. I have not taken on new work for the last 3 weeks now. My advice is to jump on the coat tails of a great season while you can. If its your only souce of income, you will make it work, cause it has too. I did it and fed 5 kids in the process, on one wage.
I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my Grandfather.....not screaming in terror like the passengers in his car!!!
