From my experience,Ive found most vacs to be inefficient in most situations.
Unless u have a smooth accessible area, its usually more efficient to blow into piles & pick up.
    Cheers Fred.

They're pretty useless. The only place I ever used it was for courtyards where there is no where to blow the leaves, and corridors at a retirement village where they whinged about dust when it was blown. They take ages to clean up the same area compared to blowing.

Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

I've found they are good for sucking up fine hedge trimmings off gardens that have the big rocks as mulch.
They also mulch up the trimmings so they pack into the bag better.
I've found its only good for smaller trimmings and most times there are faster ways like using a rake...but good for the final cleanup.
Using it as a sucker does stuff it up as a blower...breaking the fins off. So it doesn't get used much.
