Left my Honda catcher at the tip, turn straight around to get it and gone! Would have been away for 5 minutes. Bugger!

Took the extendable silky saw off the back of the tilt trailer so that it wouldnt be damaged when we tipped it, forgot to tie it into the tray of the ute. made it to the highway before it flew off, in the space of a couple of hundred meters while we stopped and crossed the median strip, somebody had picked it up and made off with it

Found our Tanaka Hedger in the cuttings after dumping them, thought to myself that was lucky, only to run it over as I drove forward to drag the rest of the cuttings out

Lost more than my fair share of catchers out the back of the trailers as well
My speed limiter in the car is automatically set to 120 - anything over that and she punches me in the arm.

I've picked up a honda catcher on a busy 2lane roundabout that was squashed flat.. It was a bit tricky picking it up dodging the cars but I bent the frame back into shape and used it for years..

I was at the tip last year and a guy jumps out of a ute looking very worried and wades about 5 meters into the rubbish bends down and pulls out a ringing iphone that fell out of his pocket on the previous visit.

Lucky the dozer hadn't been to squash things up.

One of my dopey offsiders left my stihl blower sitting beside the bin after he blew out the trailer. Didn't find out to about 20 mins later when I went to use it. Rang the dump and luckily the boys ther had seen it and put it inside the shed for me. The offsider was worried because I told him if it was gone he was buyin me a new one. I made him buy the boys at the dump a cartoon of beer for their trouble. He didn't like that but did it. Was better than a new blower

I have left two Echo Vac bags at the tip and every time I have remembered they had gone. Expensive reminder, about $60.00 each

Wish that would happen to me, I just picked up an old Greenfield Catcher, full of rust needs the bottom replaced, easy enough. Get to the tip and what do I see, am almost perfect condition Greenfield catcher with no rust only a couple of dings in it. Pity there is cameras pointed on the metal heap as I would have grabbed it. Up to $700 fines if they catch ya at our local refuse.

DJK, you shoulda asked one of the staff if you could do a swapsy or offer to buy it cheap. No fine if you ask the staff. Worst that happens is that they say no.

Ive lost at the tip: bahco hedgers, cyclone hedgers, telescopic pruner, gloves. Ah, the pain of it!
