My daughter looks after my grandson on mondays, when someone asked if she was his mum he piped up real quick and said "no this is my tracey"
she is his aunt btw, had to chuckle when she told me!

Walked past a tiny backyard in a less than flash housing establishment on the way to a job, this woman stops me and says ' can you mow my grass, I have no mower and I'm cutting the grass using these scissors?' I say 'how much will you pay me'? She says with a look of shock on her face 'You want money?' I say 'well Yeah its not free and keep walking'

She was about 60, scary to think how she got that old and not realise that there are people that work for a living. Maybe she thought the guvment was paying.

Saw a guy today when I was coming home from the hospital, doing a big murraya hedge with hand shears. He was a contractor, and it was at least 8 foot tall..... I wonder how much he was charging because it would of taken him all day. Probably an hour and a half with the right gear. It made me laugh, but really you have to wonder what some guys are thinking, standing on a ladder reaching out with hand shears

I have had one potential client ask me to do a hedge with hand clippers they thought the hedge trimmer would damage the hedge to much. I didnt take the job

I have a few older customers that insist, even though I keep my hedgers razor sharp, that I use hand shears ...they also worry about foliage damage ...

LOL. We use our teeth in Bowral areas.....Its gives a better cut than a hedger

Saw 2 Jimmys boys last week mowing a small nature strip with a huge 50" toro zero turn. grass everywhere. the other guy was blowing it all ver the road.... The client must had demanded they blow the grass off the concrete...lol
