    Default Full facial

    Hi everyone.
Just wondering if many of you wear a full mask while on the whipy?
I usually just wear my sunnys, but, last week (for some stupid reason) I had them on my head and while cutting some think grass I hit a broken bottle it shattered and a piece ended up disappearing in my chin!!!!! Didn't think much of it untill I whipped the sweat of my face and my arm was covered in blood.
Another thing I'm now careful of is this: when I got home to find the 2cm bit in my head a red back must have been on me it got off me and ended up in my daughters towl, when mum went to dry her the red back, thankfully, fell out of the towel!!!! So just a good reminder to check your self after a clean up job.

    Thumbs up Re: Full facial

Try a chainsaw helmet with a mesh visor, I like my husky one, I wear safety glasses with it as well when brushcutting

You were lucky could have been your eye... I use both I have safety Sunnies and a viser one of the ones with the thin mesh so it doesn't fog up. I also wear ear plugs cz I hate sweaty ears they get to hot with ear muffs but it could be cz they are just burning from people talking about me LOL

Thrill seeker! Try fueling up the mower with a lit ciggy in your mouth, that should be a real blast (pardon the pun)

I had only ever worn sunglasses, used to often get things in my eyes (probably everyday), used to be able to get it out with the aid of a tissue & the side mirror, did get a bit of glass in the eye once & ended up having to get the Dr to get it out.

Recently bought a clear plastic visor(doesnt fog up, could put soap on it if it did) with integrated ear muffs (also comes with mesh visor for when the plastic one gets too scrathed) from the Indi store http://www.indmowing.com.au/catalog/...roducts_id=724 should of got one years ago.

    cheers

they sell those mesh visor/ear muff combos in the safety/workwear shops

i prefer mesh to acrylic, as the acrylic fog up and get scratched then i cant see

i wouldnt whip without one now (and i wear safety glasses under it to stop the fine stuff

if its really dusty ill also slip a pair of goggles over my glasses

cant be too careful with your eyes imo

ad i was sick of getting hit in the lip/face with rocks

and it helps keep the whiffers off your sniffer, lol (lawnie lingo)
