    A name means nothing. Its what you do with it that does.

    Ya see that’s the thing that gets people confused.

    Potential customer >
    What’s the lawn mowing guy you use .....
    I thinks it’s ABJ’s or something like that.Could be JDPB

    Where it could have been easy and simple e.g. bob smith mowing,or smithies mowing.
    I see a lot of things in using KISS throughout your life.

    K = keep
    I = it
    S = simple
    S = stupid

    It has worked for me and many others

    Bob who? LOL hey I agree with you but with me it means something cz its my family
    I did put a bit of thought in though BeetleJuice because starting with A puts me up the top when I advertise and there are only 3 leters to remember AJD.. Bob Smith has 8.. Comes down to advertising if you have a well signed trailer that matches your advertising it doesnt matter what the name is once it gets in peoples face a few times they will remember. Who would have thought we would remember names like Kosta Tszyu or Arnold Schwarzenegger? Household names now.. Bluey is right A name means nothing its what you do with it that counts

    It all comes down to marketing your business and brand awareness within the marketplace... for example ANZ, AMP, AAMI, BMW, LG, HP, RTA etc are all household names and are random letters just like AJD is.

    In my opinon, people knowing your phone number is more important than them knowing your business name as they "should" be referring you to friends on a first name basis anyways.

    Just for the record, I don't even use my business name on my advertising material.... people don't give a flying.......

    Agree to a point, but just for the mere fact someone can remember your name in conversation could be a small positive. Those names your referring to are BIG companies that have MAJOR branding everywhere in a market that is HIGH on everyones list or that people cant really live without ..ie banks/car manufacturers/computers.

    Keeping it simple can help.
    Cheers.
