For those interested in steep mowing equip - check these

First is company promo of Spiders in action
and second is a pilotless tracked machine by Lynex UK-- claims to 70deg slopes -- makes me dizzy to think of it .

Our Taxes at work? --- looks like VicRoads has purchased a couple of the Spider's for use on the M80 Ringroad upgrade.
Video of it in use over near Sharps Road on the M80

Now this looks like the ideal machine for me.

Can handle flat or steep or rough or muddy terrain and remote controlled with 44" cut,
but the "killer" feature is that it has o board gps and "artificial intelligence / learning" technology so can learn the job then it can redo it autotomonously while you sit back and watch!
I think I could handle that!
Saw some video of it and it has tremendous traction power .. Sufficient to push a dumpmaster skip across a carpark!

I like it! I dare say there would be a fair few slopes to mow to pay it off though?

The new top of the line machine is about $us25k
Worth having a look at their website as the older remote model(s) which does not have the gps / learning capabilities, I would rate in the 'very affordable' price range.

The other interesting thing from their website is that machines are pretty well built to order an the website shows how your order/build is progessing through each of the manufacturing steps.
That is really keeping the customer in the loop and well informed -- looks like attempt at excellent customer service.
