Default Convert bar blade to swing back blades

    Hi
If I buy a 21 inch mower with a bar blade is it just a matter of taking it off and putting on a honda 21 inch disc carrier to get swing back blades? And the same deal with a 22 inch bar blade just take it off and put a 22 inch rover disc carrier on? I think this would work?
    Cheers

You'd have to measure it up a bit first hjl.
I don't know about honda, but the rover disc needs a boss on the shaft for the 3 outer bolts. You'd have to be sure the shaft is long enough to take this boss.
Then the rover disc is dished so you'd have to be sure that the blades are not sitting too low or too high under the deck.

Then there is always insurance issues you might have to consider if anything ever goes wrong.

Check out the asp website they sell bar blade conversions. It's a shorter bar blade that the swing back blades bolt onto.

    Hi hjl,
I gave my local mower guy at Greenslopes a cheap chonda sp with a bar blade and for $60 or so he sorted it for me. The shop is Woodland mowers if you want to give him a call, he is the nicest guy and very helpful. The mower was still no good though he reved up the engine for me and it is still as slow as a wet weekend.

    Sharpie.
