nah its the pissy 56 groan, (same cc but no vibration damping, which is what i want)just now realised i bought the wrong one in my excitement to get a bargain. I will take it back tmorrow and swap it. Still the 86 is 100 buck off also

The 86 has plenty of grunt but the anti vibe is the ants pants. I used a kaaz blower a few weeks back a d it was bloody agony. If you only buy one Stihl product the BG86 should be it.

Or add some anti vibration gloves to your purchase

Anti vibe gloves wouldn't do **** compared to the anti vibe on the machine. With ear muffs on the only thing you feel is the air pressure

Have used one and they feel good, just won't pay the price! Instead use a backpack quite often and good anti vibe gloves when I use the handheld. Have three sets of anti vibe gloves of different qualities, the good ones do a good job if you have average equiment.
After all it's stihl just a stihl

well i took the 56 back and got the 86, this new model is fantastic, about the same weight as my old 85, but much quieter, so much so that i thought something was wrong !.
The anti vibe works a treat.
All in all a great blower smooth, quiet and powerful.
    definitely worth a trial.
