Yep got a good old original one of those already. I find they don't work too well in the rain.
When i was selling them the F&P sensor was the best but it was $449 i think its been awhile But for size and price would be the whirlpool it was a good machine and 6kg i think the model was awd60 i found it on appliances on line

Thanks Luke. Been having a look on the Whirlpool forum and the F&P sensor units get a pretty good wrap. Just sent a message to an old school mate who is a Joyce Mayne franchisee here so hopefully I might have one by tomorrow night. Off to the laundromat tonight!

What if I don't like white....

That wouldnt be a bad buy. you should get them down to about $375 i just asked a mate just dont go the extra warranty because you get 3yrs by law
Cheers Garry
Funny how different products are hit & miss. We have a F&P washing machine too and while it has never let us down electronically, the way it washes (or doesn't) the clothes and causes threads and seams to undo is pretty ordinary.
Wouldn't buy a ****inghouse, We got one about 3 years ago and only a couple of days later the piece of rubbish caught fire. Luckily we were home at the time. Ended up being a fault in the starter switch. About the same time our oven ( which was the same make) lit up like a christmas tree when the top element decided to melt through the bracket that holds it in place and dropped onto the wire rack. Went of like a bomb and thankfully my wife wasn't sliding the rack in or out at the time.
BTW. Friends who live down the road had exactly the same oven and the same thing happened to them a couple of months earlier.
Moral of the story don't buy a piece of crap westinghouse.
Paul I would recommmend buying something more expensive as there is nothing good for that sort of price a.f.a.i.c.

Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you
We bought an Ariston front loader about a year ago. Been great but my wife reckons that you have to get your settings right because if you get it wrong and its set for a 3 hr wash your stuck with it because you cant open it up after a certain amount of time until its finished.
