Hey Paul. You think this is bad....many years ago, i was in the security guarding business. The govt bought in new legislations for every security guard to pass extra training at a great cost from your own pocket. I think it was around the $500 mark. Then reaccreditation every year or so..which was around the $200 mark. Guards had to have all their accredited I.D.s on themselves whilst on duty. If they didnt, they were either sent home (Loss of pay) or if not up to date were sacked on the spot for working without being accredited.

Where the hell is it going to stop.

This is the reason I got out of the building industry, it got toooo regulated.. I believe in safety but I am against legislation that take things to far for the sake of money in the name of safety.

Yep. Its the same for every industry Dean. I agree it's not right.
No point not paying for these things and risk getting hung hey.
I've seen the result of businesses neglecting legislation requirements in my managements days with the large corp companies.
    Definitely an eye opener...

Again mate it's just something the government has cooked-up as another revenue stream. I'm over 'The Government' just blindly ripping us off in every facet of our lives when there's no need for it. All they are doing is legislating to make money. The more you read about our 'Government' you'll see the angle I'm coming from. Income tax fair enough as there is infrastructure etc that is needed and there are those in our community that need the welfare assistance (although that needs a huge review too not mention drug testing but that's another story) but the rest of it is a scam.
