Have been planning on getting the new HRX, but this last fortnight I have been looking at the jobs I do and wonder if it would be an advantage. The 'ole 195 is so light and easy to get around all the obstacles, off and on the trailer, pull backwards etc. Plus I have spare motors, easy to work on (but rarely) and the body seems to be coping quite well now that I have sorted out a few niggly health issues even in the humidity.

Ok Fellas - it's September again.
Time to dust off the bull$h!t filters - Won't be long till we hear from our "very bestest buddies" (the sales reps) trying to spin and sell their products.
I wonder what poor clown gets thrown into the lions den this year ?
    "Can't" is a dirty 4 letter word.
If someone says "Can't" , take the "T" off the end and brew it.
Sip on a mugfull, relax, and take a look at what you've got left to work with.

I've been looking at the new jHonda but.... As usual, crap. Is that Shute getting smaller?
And all this emission crap on it?
im seriously tinkering with the idea of making my own.

Hmm - best deal for Hondas is currently at "Masters home hardware" (= almost Bunnings.)

Honda's latest "improvement" is the Honda "Heritage" (= gone back to the old 196)

What is it that the R&D department do again ??

They need to go back to the 195, 196 way too heavy. The 195 after they fixed the front end and added strength to the handle bars was an absolute gem. Come on Honda make us an old school honda again. Maybe Santa will leave me one under the Christmas tree, that or Miranda Kerr. I'd be happy either way .

Honda have also decided to release a new motor vehicle to go with the release of the new old 195

Thought they were gonna release a new game changing mower when I read this

Turns out they painted the wheels grey and removed the snorkel and called it the Hru216m3 replacing the m2 lol
Oh and pretty sure one of the stickers was slightly different

    Honda all spin no substance
"The all new Honda now with more torque" refers to the new premium 19" domestic which uses the new GCV170 engine not the now obsolete GCV160 which is on the other domestic mowers, I also notice that the Aussie HRX's still use the now obsolete GCV190 engine not the newer GCV200 engine available on the U.S. models

Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

Probably getting rid of them all here before they can't sell engines that don't pass new emissions laws as at 1st July I think

Could possibly be bargains around just before that date???

x2, I have 2 batts for HLA65/85 that would make great back ups for a blower but, the Stihl blower is just a hair dryer, its simply not powerful enough.
The Ego hand held is an absolute beast for its size, & the new one is about 15% mower powerful.
Unless your doing heaps of blowing, I don't know why anyone would bother with the Ego backpack blower, as the new handheld has just as much power.

    Cheers Fred.
