Read the reviews on the site. Quite a mix of opinions. I don't think it will hold up as a contractors machine. I've never heard anything good about them from contractors who have used them.

Cant stand Toro mowers. Cheap tiny and their self propelled is weird. You have to push the handle bars to activate...

Our local Toro dealer stocks them but wont sell them to contractors.Apparently they have a timed belt running two blades that needs adjusting every 50 hours and has to be performed by the dealer. They have ordered the commercial equivalent with the Kawasaki motor and highly recommend them but has not arrived yet.

Looks interesting and would have there use but at about 130Kg it's not light and at a rrp of $3000 in U.S makes it about $Au 4300
If we use Honda as a comparison the HRX in the U.S sells for $600rrp =$Au 860 then compare to our rrp of $1299 or aprox 153% more then I estimate it would retail here for around $6500
Anything Ian says may or may not be garbage, it may also be his own opinion or it may not be his opinion at all, it may just be something he felt like stating anyone following his advice does so at their own risk and may be doing something Ian would actually advise against.
And if you don't like what Ian has to say use the ignore function if you don't know how ask i will gladly tell you

You could be right Ian. I was thinking/hoping $5k-ish.
If anyone is looking for a commercial mower >22" that will fit through a 36" gate, the field is pretty limited.
There's only a couple of commercial ZTRs & standers, but they are over $10k.

Every man & his dog here are mowing ¼ acre blocks with a tractor mower that probably cost up to similar money.

    Hi edbeek
The season must be ok up there if you are looking to buy a new mower.
I am not buying anything because no lawns to mow.
    Cheers

Hi Hjl. No it's been pathetic here. Had a hail storm at the end of Sept, and another storm before xmas. Apart from that, nothing worthwhile. Haven't mowed a single lawn up on the mountains this season.

But we're getting a great storm right now. Might get some grass growing before it gets too cold.

Looks like it's got the same 190cc engine. It's a pity they didn't put a bigger engine on as I thought a lot of complaints about the Turfmaster were that they were underpowered.

I did look into the Bobcat Stander. It looks good. Good to know it fits through 36" gates.

Not sure which way I want to go. I've got a CompactPro44" but it's getting long in the tooth. Thinking of getting a smaller, lighter WB for resi yards and tight areas on acreage, and replace the 44" with a 48" stander for my ½ & 1 acre blocks.

I can get a really good deal on a Husq 48" stander. It's specs look really good, but the deck looks too tightly baffled to suit my properties in peak growth times.

I've got all winter to think about it.
