    Default honda 194 overreving

    Hi everyone,

I have a Honda 194 which I used as a spare mower. It started over revving. I can't get the revs down unless I turn it off.
I had a look on utube and tried to adjust the governor and the carby but it doesn't make any difference.
I had a similar problem with another honda mower. I took it to the mower shop and they told me it was a governor issue and
was not worth fixing. Can it be the governor spring or linkage? Any help would be grateful, thanks.

    Hi Oscar,
I wouldn't know what the trouble is on your Honda but I hit a low branch and bent the linkage on my rover.
when you work out what the problem is and need to reset the engine speed you can get a laser tacho on ebay for about $12 including shipping! a handy tool to have.
I just ordered one so ill post again after I've tried it.
