Default selective poisons safe for using on mondo grass

Gday guys. I'm pretty well versed with many types of selective and non selective poison use, and i've done homework on a current issue, but thought I would put it out to the brains trust of this forum. I have a client with a massive patch of beautiful dwarf mondo grass...problem is, its infected with clover.... I know that clover has a nut underground and needs a specific poison like dicamba or bronoxynil, but I need to know if you guys are aware of any poisons that don't harm mondo at all in the process. Let me know guys!

The good old paint brush method is the way I work with weeds around mondo grass. Just paint directly onto the clover and ensure your herbicide includes a sticking agent in the mix.

Try a test patch in a small area and at a low mix rate.

Dabber bottles (ie the shoe polish bottles with the foam applicator) can also be a good means of applying chemical to individual target plants.
You can get the new bottles from most council environment depts where they are given away to the public (for free) for landcare / environmental weed control purposes.

For most purposes (eg dabbing cuts stems of ivy, holly, pittosporum, privet etc & Agapanthus!- provided you treat the raw cut within about 30 secs before it oozes the gel-like sap ).
Use straight glyphosate concentrate + some dye to see where one has been.
Very effective on other 'pest plants' as well --- just a 'dab' in the centre or a wipe down the green stem.

I use my weeding wand and just paint the glyphosate on.
