Default New Husqvarna Line Trimmer Head M12 Size

I have worn out the head on my Husqvarna Trimmer. The current head (that needs replacing) is the T45X but the thing is it takes a M12 thread. A new head is up to $60.

I have a few spare T35x heads in the shed but they are M10 - bugger

Anyone know of any good line trimmer heads with M12 or should I just get another Husky head?

    Hi
What about trying a speed feed head? I believe they come with different arbors so should fit.

Is there a particular brand you were referring to?

There is a brand just called speed feed which I bought from Dean. Don't have a husky but started using 4 way alloy heads and never looked back, the vibration is significantly less and I don't mind stopping to wind more string out cause it gives me a break. They seem to be more balanced like a blade. The one thing I don't like is that being alloy I have broken 2 of them (probably hitting rocks) and pieces just kinda vanish. After looking through the grass for the broken chunk unsuccessfully your mower blades will no doubt find it a bit later on which makes mowing a bit more exciting. They are about $25.00 but I have read there is a genuine tanaka alloy head which is supposed to be better quality.

    Hi
I believe they were originally bought out by Shindaiwa. Now lots of companys make them. Oregon echo and others. They are branded with speed feed on the head. I really like mine. Don't see why you couldn't get one to fit your husky.

Nearly all the speed feed kits I've seen have 10mm arbors as the biggest.

I've used suretap heads which come with a whole lot of different adapters to fit all makes of trimmers. (Bump feed)
You may just be able to buy the adapters from the mower shop?
I've now switched to the speedfeed heads and they seem pretty good.
