4 year engine warranty.
Thats the one.
Better read the fine print on the engine warranty. It is only for 3 months for business, 4 years for home owner only. Like most mower warranties.
I have been told not go Kohler by the dealer
Apparently when going HP V HP the Kohler lacks power
i'd preferred a Briggs
Around 20 years ago i ran 2 x 21" Rover mowers, one with the Briggs and the other with Honda.
I had someone helping me and both mowers were started up in cutting knee high grass, both engines were 5HP
It was very obvious how much further the Briggs went into the grass comparing the two engines at full revs.
So if you could have had the Briggs you would have been better off.Oh and the Briggs was just the standard black motor.
as has been repeated ad nauseum here for years, the only commercial mulcher is the victa mulchmaster - if a new 560 is out of reach, get a used 550, the deck will never wear out
here's a 560 in Hahndorf... http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/hahnd...led/1046765179

"All sin is washed away in the Holy goodness of Beer"
Book of Redeye, Psalm 69
The Briggs Masport 18" mulcher is working surprising well. Its not a slasher and doesn't have a side shute. I got the machine to mulch lawns to the quality as if they had been caught but I have also been mowing 6-8" wet grass with good results. Have gotten used to the front wheel drive and find it an advantage as you don't need to release it to turn, just lift the front and spin around. Plenty of power. Overall, happy with the mower considering its a domestic machine.
