That would be the engine only. The others are the full machine.

I also looked at the Echo 25cc but am going with the Husqvana 525, 25.4cc,1kw, 4.7kg at $579. Purely because of the weight.

The Echo (SM265, 25.4cc, .9kw 5.9kg) equivalent of the Husky 525 is listed at $639.
I spoke to guys here that use Echo and they're happy.
General consensus on the street was that there's three brand you buy. That is STIHL, HUSQVANA, & ECHO

may pay to leave that street and do a few laps of the block. Shindaiwa is well worth a look at and after using them along with stihl (as a sub contractor) and Husqvarna in my business, I wouldn't ever touch either again. My shindaiwa has NEVER missed a beat, only thing I have had to replace is speed feed bump caps, not even the whole head ...still on the original.

Just going by what other contractors are using and there's heaps here. Have used Komatsu in the past, very good but now bought out by Husqvana. Used Stihl fs90/ 130's for past 7yrs no problems. Problem is we have a Stihl & Husqvana shop 15kms apart and a Echo shop 40kms away. You buy from one shop and try to have it serviced at one of the others they wont fix it asap. It's catch 22, we pretty much have to buy local if you want the follow up service. Hence the popularity with the 3 brands.
